Knowing When to Stop (Did I Go Too Far?)

During North Texas RPG Con, I rustled up an empty table in artist alley, set up my video tripod and started drawing.

This is a mixed media piece. A combination of watercolor, India ink, and colored pencils. It started off as just a yellow wash on paper, then I gradually built layers of colors on top of it.

But since I wanted the subject matter to be spooky/gloomy, I think I went too far with the ink wash. I feel that it lost a bit of the spectral luminosity of layer after layer of watercolor.

The first half was filmed at the convention in Texas and the other was after I got home.
