Now, I don't often do fan art, and for copyright reasons, I call this one The Caretaker.
But if you know, you know. Right.
I did this one as a gift for my friend Steff down in Chicago because she had her heart set on one of my paintings and somebody bought it out from underneath her. So I thought, "I got you, Steff. I'm going to paint you a replacement gift."
So how I did this is I took a canvas, and then I went to a website where you just hit a button and it'll print out "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" in all this different formatting, just like he did in the movie, like all these different paragraph structures and alignments and justifications and whatnot.
It printed out a bunch of sheets of that just on printer paper and then decoupaged it onto the canvas in all of torn up and all these different angles. Maybe you can see in the background there of the words, and then scuffed it up with some black ink and then painted our boy Johnny - Here's Johnny! - over the top of it.
Steff really dug it, but was still kind of bummed that she didn't get the other painting. I hope you like it. You can pick up this print if you like.
