I've always been a fan of Edward Gorey and his illustrations, so this is sort of an homage to him.
I call it Gorey Girl. It's got that kind of dark tone and the cross hatchy goodness.
I saw an exhibition of Gorey's illustrations in Austin one time, and it was so incredible to see them up close and all the little lines and even spots where he used white out to correct his mistakes and then drew over those.
My favorite part is that this thing has three legs. Like, is it missing one? Does it have an extra one? Who knows?
But I hope you like it, too.
