Case Study: Wein & Saengerfest

The New Braunfels, Texas, Parks & Rec Dept. holds a lively annual street festival called Wein & Saengerfest. From 2008-2012, I was honored to produce original artwork for their official event posters. (Click images to expand.)

Case Study: Wurstfest

Driven by the success and popularity of my Wein & Saengerfest poster series, I was hired to create a similar series of original paintings for the Wurstfest festival. Wurstfest began in 1961 as a way for the city of New Braunfels, Texas, to celebrate its German heritage. I created the artwork for the festival's limited-edition souvenir posters from 2013-2017. Case Study: Lancer/Hoshizaki

While employed as a staff designer for Lancer Corporation, I was tasked with creating goofy, flavor-based characters for their frozen slushie machines. Lancer was later acquired by Hoshizaki, an international manufacturer of ice and beverage machines. (Click images to expand.)

Case Study: Concealed Carry Magazine

For the past several years, I have provided a wide range of illustration styles for the U.S. Concealed Carry Association and their flagship publication, Concealed Carry Magazine (circulation > 850k). Personal Project: "ABCs of the Apocalypse"

I recently completed the artwork for a fun personal project tentatively titled "ABCs of the Apocalypse." When completed, it will be an adult coloring book with a tongue-in-cheek post-apocalyptic theme.

Over the course of several months, I held weekly YouTube livestreams where viewers could watch me draw each letter's coloring page in Adobe Fresco on my iPad Pro. I chose to restrict myself to using Fresco as I was unfamiliar with the software. I usually create digital drawings in Procreate.

The compiled book will be available this fall, but for now each page is available as a high-res PDF download for personal use and enjoyment. (Click images to expand and download.)
